Utah’s 2025 AI Summit to Bring Leaders Together for Human-Centric Innovation

The 2025 Utah AI Summit, Utah’s Pro-Human Leadership in the Age of AI, will take place on Dec. 1-2 at teh Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake city

Utah will welcome state and national tech leaders to the 2025 Utah AI Summit, Utah’s Pro-Human Leadership in the Age of AI, on Dec. 1–2 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.

The summit is being hosted by the Nucleus Institute, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and the Utah Department of Commerce and its Office of Artificial Intelligence Policy. The event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and researchers to explore how artificial intelligence can be developed and deployed responsibly, with people at the center of innovation.

Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox

Governor Cox is the morning keynote speaker at the 2025 Utah AI Summit.

“Utah is on the forefront of developing responsible AI, where innovation meets humanity, creating technology that reflects our values and enhances our lives,” Gov. Spencer Cox said in the announcement.

“Utah's focus on human-centric innovation aims to establish the state as a national leader in pro-human and pro-business AI initiatives,” said Margaret Woolley Busse, executive director of the Utah Department of Commerce. “By promoting discussions and collaborations at this summit, we are laying the groundwork for AI to contribute to sustainable growth and societal well-being.”

Jefferson Moss, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, said, “We are excited to assemble a diverse group of experts and stakeholders. This summit will highlight Utah's commitment to ethical AI and will generate actionable insights and collaborations that will shape the future of technology and our workforce.”

The summit will convene national and local experts to discuss how AI can empower human potential rather than replace it. The program will focus on sustainable innovation frameworks, responsible governance and workforce readiness in an AI-enabled future.
