The Nucleus Institute Names Hannah Cancino Manager of Partnerships and Business Development
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — Sept 8, 2026 — The Nucleus Institute today announced that Hannah Cancino has joined the organization as Manager of Partnerships and Business Development. In this role, Cancino will lead efforts to build and strengthen the partnerships that support Convergence Hall and the institute's broader slate of programs, working directly with the organizations and individuals who want a stake in what Utah is building.
Cancino brings a background that blends people-first relationship building with financial rigor. She studied psychology at the University of Utah, then spent several years in wealth management and financial planning, where she helped clients align their money with what mattered most to them. That combination of listening closely and translating values into action is central to how she now approaches partnership development at Nucleus.
“Hannah has an exceptional ability to build genuine, lasting relationships,” said Jefferson Moss, CEO of the Nucleus Institute. “She understands what matters to organizations and finds meaningful ways for them to engage with Nucleus. Those partnerships will strengthen while creating new opportunities across Utah’s innovation ecosystem.”
Cancino said she was drawn to Nucleus because of the range of people and disciplines the institute brings together.
“I've always wanted to work on problems that don't stay in one lane, the kind that touch business, science, and community all at once," Cancino said. “What drew me to Nucleus is the people. Everyone here is working toward the same goal: helping Utah's innovators connect with the partners and resources they need to grow. I get to help make those connections happen, and that's exactly the kind of work I find meaningful."
Convergence Hall is Utah's flagship innovation campus, opening in 2029 at The Point in Draper. It will bring Nucleus's full slate of programs, including the Nucleus Fund, MarketEdge, Nucleus Grow, ProLab, and PolicyLab, under one roof alongside industry partners and every university in the state.
